The possibilities of using bumble bees in greenhouses

However, the use of bumble bees as pollinator in glass and plastic greenhouses and rearing bumle bee colonies in captivity for year-round has been introduced in the recent years. By conducting studies on this subject in Belgium and Holland a considerable improvement has been made in the rearing of bumble bee colonies in captivity. Bumble bees reared in captivity are being applied extensively for pollination of plants in glasshouses in substitution for manual vibration and growth regulators. Keywords :
